Private lesson FAQs

Where does training take place?

Our private lessons are held in the comfort of your home — or wherever the behavior is happening (for example: the park, your neighborhood, or public places).

What skills and behaviors can be worked on in a private lesson?

We offer Regular/Manners lessons as well as Behavior Modification for pups experiencing fearful, reactive, or big feelings.

Our Manners lessons can cover most household and public skills, including: Sit, Down, Stay, Place, Leave It, Wait & impulse control, leash walking, safe socialization, potty training, crate training, car etiquette, and more!

Do I need any training tools for my lesson?
  • A 4–6 ft non-retractable leash
  • 50–100 pea-sized treats — a mix of mid-value treats and high-value foods like cheese or chicken works great for initial lessons
  • Either a flat collar or a harness with a front attachment (need to borrow one? Just let us know before your appointment)
  • A hip pouch for treats is handy, but not required
  • Make sure your pup is pottied and ready to go before the lesson

Let's build those manners
